Let Pan Tha Ma School, Kundaing Below are photographs of the official opening ceremony, which took place last month. It was a big day, and the villagers were very proud to decorate the interior for this happy occasion. Teachers and headmasters from other schools in the region came to participate in the ceremony. NEWS: The school has wooden shutters on the windows, so when its rains they have to close the shutters which restricts daylight inside. We have committed to provide the school with solar panels, which will be installed on the roof and will provide sufficient energy to install light bulbs to enlighten the interior when it rains.

Michaug Yoke School, in Kyaiklat region This is the school of which the KOM team rebuilt the second floor and provided a new roof, schools benches, tables & blackboards. The school has now become known as the “beauty of the village”. It is used not only as a school; but also as a venue for wedding ceremonies of the villagers. It will also be used as a safe haven in the case of another cyclone, the villagers are happy they can safely use the school as a shelter. . |
